Fall Approaches

Fall is coming, and with it cooler weather. For those of you who have gas logs, here is some helpful information.

Your cylinders can be filled at several places. The closest is Tractor Supply on 17, just outside the neighborhood. You can also go to Coastal Seafood and Propane, located in “Old” Leland, near Piggly Wiggly. Across the bridge your best bet is J. T. Lee and Sons, located on Carolina Beach Road, near Burnett Boulevard.

I recommend J. T. Lee, as they will inspect your cylinder and tell you if it’s safe to continue using. Many of us have cylinders that are beginning to rust at the seam around the bottom. This condition can be quite a hazard.

This time of year is also the time for pinecones and leaves. Many people burn their leaves, and we ask that you burn responsibly. You can check for burn bans on the Brunswick County website.
