Landscaping and maintenance

I’ve been asked by various folks what is going on with the landscaping. First, let me apologize for it taking so long. I initially planned to have this done by August, and the first phase of maintenance isn’t going to take place until nearly the end of October.

It’s been a challenge to get a landscaper to actually come out and write an estimate, and then get us on the schedule. Also we are having an issue collecting enough dues to get the entire neighborhood taken care of all at once, so we’re going to do it in several phases.

Phase 1 will be an initial clean up / remulching of the front area, the Stoney Creek Island (“the rock”), and the cul-de-sac on Bluestone.

Phase 2 – next spring after dues collection, we should have enough to finance the rest of the areas – the culs-de-sac islands on Ruby Stone, Crystal Stone, and Stoney Creek Lane.

Phase 3 – after the second phase, we should be able to move into a more economical maintenance plan that will more or less be an occasional weeding of the mulched areas and cutting the grass up front throughout the summer.

We have contracted Bloomin’ Crazy to start the project, and they will be working on the first three areas on October 27th. We are looking at a couple of other landscapers for the grass cutting during the summer, as Bloomin’ Crazy doesn’t offer that service.

Thanks for your patience, everyone. Have a good fall.
